Dubai Design Week 2026

From immersive installations and emerging regional talent to international design names, the 12th edition of Dubai Design Week celebrates the power of design to connect people, cultures and ideas

Dubai Design Week returns from November 3 to 8, transforming Dubai Design District (d3) into a creative destination where architecture, craftsmanship, technology and contemporary design come together. Now in its 12th edition, the festival brings regional and international designers into conversation through exhibitions, installations, workshops and cultural experiences. Under the direction of Natasha Carella, Dubai Design Week continues to champion design as more than an aesthetic practice, exploring its potential to shape communities, encourage dialogue and inspire meaningful change.

Among this year's highlights is Downtown Design, taking place from November 4 to 8, bringing together international brands including Gaggenau, Venini, Kohler and Ethimo alongside regional creative voices. Visitors can discover a dedicated Memphis Milano showcase, a Buccellati installation created with British designer Luke Edward Hall, and a colourful Veuve Clicquot Lounge designed by Yinka Ilori.

The festival's flagship commissioning programme, Abwab, returns with In Other Words, exploring language beyond the written and spoken word through material, visual and spatial experiences. Meanwhile, Urban Commissions presents Three Gardens and a Room by Dubai-based NAO Architects, founded by Reem Nassour. The winning installation reimagines the garden as a shared space for gathering, reflection and connection.

Across d3, large-scale installations bring new perspectives to public space. Highlights include Taqleem by Emirati architect Rasha Saffarini, inspired by traditional palm-tree trimming, and InBetween What Was and What Will Be by Palestinian-Turkish aestudio, transforming reclaimed concrete rubble into architectural forms. The UAE Designer Exhibition, curated by AlZaina Lootah under the theme Inherited Futures, places emerging UAE-based talent in the spotlight, exploring how heritage and traditional practices can inspire contemporary design.

Elsewhere, The Forum welcomes French interior architect Tristan Auer as keynote speaker, while exhibitions, hands-on workshops and the weekend Marketplace invite audiences to experience design beyond the gallery. More than a festival, Dubai Design Week 2026 celebrates the exchange of ideas, the preservation of cultural knowledge and the creative possibilities that emerge when different disciplines and generations come together.
