Happy 10th birthday, Tondina Pop!

The iconic Tondina Pop celebrates its 10th anniversary. Over the past decade, the chair has become a symbol not only of Infiniti, but also of the contract furniture sector as a whole. Created in 2016 through a collaboration between the company and design studio Favaretto&Partners, it quickly found its way into hospitality, retail and corporate spaces around the world, earning its place as Infiniti’s longest-standing bestseller.

The secret to its success lies, of course, in its design. The concept centres on a balance between aesthetics and functionality, expressed through a visually lightweight structure, compact proportions, ergonomics and colour. These principles have given rise to a complete family of seating, comprising chairs, armchairs and stools in kitchen and bar heights. To mark its first decade, the collection evolves into Tondina Pop 10, a limited edition unveiled at Orgatec. While retaining its original silhouette, the new version introduces fresh colours and finishes. For the first time, the slender steel frame is presented with a glossy finish, colour-matched to the polypropylene seat and backrest. Four new shades have also been developed specifically for the occasion: Wine Red, Grey Brown, Ocean Blue and Light Ivory.

“For me, Tondina is much more than just a product. It represents the trust Infiniti placed in me when it became one of the first companies in the industry to believe in my talent as a young designer,” explains Francesco Favaretto. “Over the years, that trust has been rewarded by the results we have achieved and the many projects we have developed together.”
