Spot on

Irreverent, cheerful, pop, and lighthearted: polka dots bring a sense of fun, adorning surfaces and materials with graphics that set a new rhythm
Polka dots make a point on surfaces, capturing the eye and redefining the forms and volumes of lamps, wallpapers, coffee tables, towel warmers, and storage units. It is a simple graphic gesture that brings a sense of playfulness and character to design. Tripop, created by Matteo Cibic for Multiforme, is a portable and rechargeable lamp inspired by 1960s aesthetics. The sphere, made of white blown glass, features a surface dotted with large, colored glass polka dots. Hot-applied and offered in three primary colors (red, green, blue), these circular decorations dialogue with the luminous core, expanding into the space like three-dimensional graphic marks.

The new collection In the Mood for Love is designed by Studio Chiara Caberlon for SpaghettiWall. The different phases of falling in love are sketched out in minimal arrangements, with patterns that evolve from polka dots and stripes of varying progression to a three-dimensional botanical flourish. With the Electricity wallpaper (pictured), a modular composition is defined, organized according to a grid of dots that structures its rhythm. Hues like burnt earth and green alternate with warm, neutral tones, creating a balance of measured contrasts. Truman is a storage unit by Fratelli Boffi composed of a full-height compartment with a hinged door and a series of six drawers arranged laterally in a column along the depth of the unit. The entire volume is finished with a matte white lacquer and decorated with large black polka dots.

INOUT, designed by Paola Navone, is a wide-ranging collection of chairs, stools, armchairs, sofas, tables, and accessories that tells the story of Gervasoni's many ways of imagining time outdoors. Inout 44 is a coffee table-pouf, made of black, white, or anthracite gray GFRC concrete, or in white ceramic decorated with black polka dots or black stripes, characterized by its champagne cork shape.

A towel warmer that makes a point about heat: DOTS., designed by Ludovica Serafini + Roberto Palomba for Tubes, explores the relationship between form and function through a composition of circular elements. Made of recyclable aluminum, it is available in compositions of up to three elements, which can be installed horizontally or vertically and also used as holders for towels and bathrobes.
