Orient Express Corinthian - Photo © frontiline.studioA new landmark of luxury has emerged on the water, bearing the signature of Orient Express. The Corinthian, the first of the group’s two sailing yachts, is the world’s largest sailing yacht: 220 metres long, with three masts that redefine the standards of high-end cruising. It has made its debut in the Mediterranean, bringing with it all the allure of the 19th-century Grand Tours. The Orient Express heritage has been translated into an exceptionally elegant experience at sea, blending contemporary touches with a classical spirit. With just 54 suites, it redefines the boundaries of adventure and luxury at sea: on board are five restaurants and eight bars, as well as a spa, a cinema, a library and a games room. The interiors reflect the distinctive Orient Express style, featuring noble materials, sophisticated, rich colour palettes and bespoke details that pay tribute to French savoir-faire.

This same inspiration has also shaped the new Al Mare collection, designed by Exteta and Maxime d’Angeac (Creative Director of Orient Express), which furnishes the various decks of the Orient Express Corinthian alongside other Exteta collections selected for the project, including the Loro Piana Interiors by Exteta line, Stringa armchairs, Panarea sofas and 1938 Chairs. Al Mare comprises a folding chair, a coffee table and a dining table, all characterised by an essential yet sophisticated design, engineered for exceptional outdoor performance and striking a balance between solidity and visual lightness. “The pieces feature elongated lines and rounded edges, giving way to a soft, sinuous aesthetic,” explains Maxime d’Angeac. “By combining leather with metal or ceramic, the collection moves away from more traditional nautical references, reinterpreting them with refinement and elegance.”
