Founded in Dubai in 2017 by Stefania Digregorio and Mirko Sala Tenna, the studio is based in the United Arab Emirates, with a presence in Milan, and works internationally across residential, hospitality, yachting and high-end commercial projects. This position between Italy and the Middle East is central to ETEREO’s approach. Rather than treating cultural references as a fixed language, the studio brings together different influences to create spaces where architecture, interiors, art and bespoke design converge. Its projects place a strong emphasis on materials, from stone and wood to glass, and by a belief that design should be experienced as much as seen.
That cross-cultural perspective has recently found a new expression in Venice, with the launch of ORBITA, an international cultural platform conceived by ETEREO to temporarily open private residences and architectural landmarks to art, design and immersive experiences. The inaugural edition, curated by ETEREO together with Nina Yashar, founder of Nilufar, opened at Palazzo Ca’ Donà on 11 September and runs until 3 October 2026. The historic Venetian residence, restored by ETEREO, becomes the setting for a dialogue between architecture, contemporary art and collectible design. Rather than functioning as a conventional exhibition, ORBITA transforms the palazzo into a temporary cultural environment, allowing visitors to experience the building before it returns to its private life. Inspired by Venice’s history as a crossroads of cultures and trade, the installation unfolds as a journey through imagined geographies. Each room takes on a distinct atmosphere, with art and collectible design integrated into the richly layered interiors. Nilufar presents works spanning generations of design, while Brun Fine Art introduces paintings, sculpture, ceramics and collectible pieces that bring historical and contemporary Italian art into conversation. Marble works by Massimiliano Pelletti and the immersive views of Anotherview add further dimensions to the experience.
For ETEREO, ORBITA represents a natural extension of its design philosophy: architecture becomes a framework for encounters between disciplines, cultures and perspectives. The platform is conceived to travel, with each edition taking place in a different residence and city while responding to its specific architectural and cultural context. From its base in Dubai, ETEREO has therefore developed a practice that moves comfortably between geographies. Its Italian origins remain an important part of its identity, but the studio’s perspective has been shaped by the international environment in which it operates. ORBITA Venezia offers a particularly clear expression of this approach: an Italian-founded, Dubai-based practice bringing together architecture, art and design in one of Italy’s most historically layered settings.
