The latest edition of
interihotel – the event that brings together professionals from the hotel design and catering sectors in Madrid for three days – is taking place under the banner of ‘
Creative Rebellion’. This new theme, which guides the wide-ranging programme of events, installations and conferences, encapsulates the desire for renewal within a rapidly evolving sector that is seeking new forms of expression and interaction. Enough of repetitive or standardised formulas; instead, make way for original narratives and distinct identities: these are the driving forces the trade fair aims to inspire.

“‘Creative Rebellion’ interprets optimism as a form of rebellion,” explained Creative Director Pepa Casado. “And in the world of hospitality, this means questioning the status quo, challenging expectations and imagining new ways of designing and experiencing spaces. Because nothing truly meaningful arises within the confines of convention: it all begins when we dare to think differently.” From 17 to 19 November, each day will therefore be centred around a key theme: “
The Inside Rebellion”, which highlights design as a force capable of subverting conventions and proposing new ways of experiencing hospitality; ‘
The Green Rebellion’, focused on sustainability understood not merely as reducing impact, but as rethinking the entire system – from materials to processes and priorities – to imagine a more conscious and transformative way of designing; and ‘
The Future Rebellion’, a theme that looks towards a broader future, where ideas embrace new ways of understanding travel, living and the experience of spaces.

With its wide-ranging programme, the event aims to provide professionals with the tools to ‘think outside the box’ and embrace new possibilities: from the conference featuring over 240 speakers to talks involving leading international figures in the sector, from installations to workshops, right through to the exhibition area showcasing 350 brands (including
Roca, as a global sponsor), interihotel explores innovations and trends, as well as business and networking opportunities.

Central to this exhibition is the Interiors Living Lab, a project by
AMBIT Living Spaces Cluster (the event organiser) that brings together various experimental spaces focused on hotel and restaurant design: first and foremost, the Concept Room Lab, which features installation projects exploring how interior design can meet the needs of emerging customer profiles in the hospitality sector. This year will feature a concept room by
HBA inspired by the
Barceló hotel group, and a concept restaurant designed by
Livit Design and inspired by the Lamucca restaurant group. Next come the
Xperience Lab – where visitors can experiment with innovative digital technologies applied to interior design – the
Materials Lab – offering a hands-on experience of a selection of innovative materials – and the
Craft Lab, which introduces experimental and hybrid expressions of contemporary craftsmanship to the world of hospitality.
