True to the Swedish philosophy of ‘Lagom’ (the perfect balance), GroundedDesign expresses the deeply rooted ‘creative education’ of its founder, Bani Singh, in the design of the Lime Tree Valley Villa, nestled within Dubai’s Jumeirah Golf Estates. Luxury and practicality merge with meticulous attention to detail, resulting in a design that exudes tranquility, authenticity, and timeless refinement.

Profoundly functional, the two-story building blurs the boundaries between indoors and outdoors through expansive glazing strategically positioned for seamless connection with the landscape, creating a symbiotic relationship between light and space. The entrance experience also plays a key role, offering a surprising sequence: a custom-made pivot door leads to a dramatic double-height vestibule, where a sculptural staircase extends to the curved ceiling, evoking a sense of movement and fluidity. Maximizing both vertical and horizontal circulation was a key objective for the architects.
he integration of the kitchen into the open-plan layout without disrupting the visual flow was achieved by positioning it between load-bearing pillars, allowing for an uninterrupted view of the main living spaces. Reinforcing the connection between inside and out, a Zen-inspired courtyard, complete with a pool and lush vegetation, serves as a central visual axis, observable from key vantage points: the kitchen, the entrance, and the upper-floor galleries.

Inside, the aesthetic narrative is composed of clean, curvilinear lines, a soft and neutral color palette, carefully selected or custom-made furnishings, materials such as wood that ‘warms’ the flooring, and textured micro-cement that lines the walls of bathrooms and corridors, creating a monolithic atmosphere, along with porcelain stoneware tiles that introduce a play of textures in high-traffic areas. A home automation system provides centralized control of lighting, climate control, and entertainment, allowing the environment to be customized according to individual preferences.
