The beauty of essentials

In the year of its 70th anniversary, Gallotti&Radice unveils a collection that encapsulates the tradition, innovative spirit and design sensibility that have guided the company for seven decades. It is a celebration of the brand’s heritage through the dialogue between craftsmanship and innovation, deeply rooted in its origins and in its pioneering use of glass since 1956. With the “Diario” collection, the company has distilled its evolutionary journey into a furniture collection that preserves the character of the past while looking firmly towards the present. Like a visible narrative of its roots – and of a future still waiting to be written. From generous upholstered pieces to accessories crafted from recycled glass powder, every element embodies the values upon which Gallotti&Radice has built its identity: elegant lines, exceptional materials and meticulous craftsmanship. The same values continue to define the brand today. Diario is conceived as a complete interior landscape to be appreciated slowly, allowing its nuances, details, references and inspirations to gradually reveal themselves. It is an invitation to slow down and rediscover the beauty of everyday rituals: relaxing on a comfortable sofa, sharing meals with loved ones, spending time surrounded by thoughtfully designed objects.

At the heart of the collection is Orma, designed by Martina and Massimo Castagna. This modular sofa, distinguished by its low profile, settles naturally into the room like an organic imprint. Balancing geometric rigour with visual softness, Orma perfectly embodies Gallotti&Radice’s philosophy of refined essentiality.

The company’s heritage also emerges through an innovative new interpretation of glass – the material that has defined the brand since its origins – which gives life to a series of new products. The new BonBon Glass is created from a compound made of 100% recycled glass, bonded with polymers containing plant-based components from renewable sources. The result is a surface characterised by crystalline formations, inclusions and spontaneous tonal variations. Enhanced with cherry or icy mint pigments, the material reveals softly diffused colours that filter light with ever-changing intensity.

Its pronounced structural and chromatic irregularities, together with its deliberately tactile finish, are not imperfections but intrinsic qualities that celebrate the material itself. BonBon Glass is used across several new collections. Ri-Giro, designed by Samuele Tremolada, is a series of coffee tables distinguished by a tactile texture created from recycled glass granules. Garçon, designed by Studiopepe, becomes a sculptural object through the interplay between its base (available in either travertine or BonBon Glass) and its blush-coloured leather top. Dock, by Marialaura Rossiello Irvine, is a cantilevered monomaterial side table available in either travertine powder or BonBon Glass.

Complementing the living area is a dining setting centred around Oto, the table designed by Oscar and Gabriele Buratti, which redefines balance through its offset leg. It is paired with Titta, the armchair by Federica Biasi, inspired by the low, enveloping seating typically found in 1970s private clubs. The setting is completed by Stresa Box, an evolution of the existing wall system incorporating boiserie panels, integrated shelving and lighting, now enriched with additional storage units, together with Chopin, the mirror system designed by Dainelli Studio, whose modular elements can be combined into endlessly changing graphic compositions.

The Diario collection represents the highest expression – though certainly not the final chapter – of Gallotti&Radice’s seventy-year journey. A story shaped by artisanal savoir-faire, technical expertise and forward-looking design, guided by one constant thread: the unique ability to interpret glass and transform it into timeless design. This new collection perfectly expresses the company’s ongoing desire to evolve while remaining faithful to its history, creating an experimental yet deeply distinctive design language capable of opening new creative horizons.
