The goal is to instill a sense of well-being, something that only nature can convey through sight or contact with its elements. In this way, the outdoors can truly revolutionize living, which is not just a matter of style, but a higher level of open-air experience. Poliform perfectly interprets this vision of modern design with its new outdoor collections: Ponte, Ketch, and Atoll are a tribute to naturalness enclosed in an elegant and comfortable design; the result of different creative signatures, they are united by a lifestyle that combines aesthetics, quality, and materiality.
Designed by Emmanuel Gallina, the Ponte seating collection immediately evokes the elegance of the nautical world and its poetic imagery. The architectural bridge structure is shaped in solid teak, a solid, warm material with a soft touch effect; the backrests, made of twisted rope, introduce a refined visual lightness, allowing the wind and light to pass through them. Thanks to their compact size, the sofa and armchair fit into nautical, hospitality, or residential contexts, transforming them and suggesting atmospheres suspended between water, breeze, and relaxation.
This feeling also accompanies the Ketch sunbed, designed by Jean-Marie Massaud. Its design is equally minimalist and material-based, but characterized by more pronounced and regular thicknesses. The sunbed, featuring an iroko frame, creates an island of comfort in the open air, thanks also to its generous cushions and reclining backrest, which adds a functional touch by concealing a compartment for storing objects and accessories.
To recreate a natural effect, all you need is a carefully designed accessory, with attention to lines, details, and choice of materials. This is the case with Poliform’s Atoll coffee table, a sculptural object that seems to have been borrowed from a coastal landscape: as if forged by the forces of nature, it stands out for its irregular, soft lines made of glazed stoneware. Poliform further emphasizes this idea of a constant relationship with nature through its furnishings, offering coverings and finishes that reflect the nuances of the earth, such as brick, sand, butter, and rope. These colors infuse spaces with an enveloping sense of warmth and balance.
