Each collection is the result of a sartorial approach, where Italian taste blends with experimentation and craftsmanship. At the same time, the in-house laboratory is a veritable technological workshop, where designers shape materials inspired by nature and art, seeking perfection in imperfection.
This aesthetic research is underpinned by a deep respect for the planet. This is the context for Osmos, the new collection that interprets concrete as a living material, shaped by time and nature. A landscape of silent architecture, where erosion, sediment and infiltration stratify, regenerating the material with a new aesthetic. Osmos does not merely imitate: it reinvents. It expresses the charm of imperfection and translates it into a visually rich, profound and organic proposal.
The surface is marked by marble veins, mineral inclusions, microgranules and slight fractures that evoke a process of hybridisation. Dynamic shades, opaque glazes and chromatic variations emerge from the neutral background, making each slab unique, changeable and poetic. The concrete comes to life, becomes a story, becomes emotion.
The creative process behind Osmos is the result of the technical and artistic know-how of the Refin laboratory. Imagining cementitious material in the future was the idea behind the project; these suggestions were first filtered through an almost dreamlike vision, then immortalised through photographs. From these graphically reworked images, the design of these surfaces took shape, reflecting a new and sophisticated version of concrete, designed for contract, retail and residential environments with a conceptual and post-industrial feel. The colour palette consists of five shades: Lime, Ash and Fog, Dove Grey and Rust, in different sizes and finishes. Two decorative elements complete the collection: Trame and Ribbed. Trame, with its irregular geometric grid, creates perceptible reliefs and three-dimensional variations that change with the light, evoking suspended atmospheres and poetic imagery. Ribbed, on the other hand, engraves the surface with irregular grooves that generate chiaroscuro and dynamic shading, enhancing the depth of the material.
Osmos is more than a collection: it is an invitation to experience space as an extension of oneself, to choose surfaces that reflect one’s identity, to let oneself be influenced by the beauty that comes from time, nature and matter. With Osmos, Refin opens a new chapter in emotional design.
