It’s now a tradition: September for professionals focused on interior and lifestyle trends opens in Paris with Maison&Objet (September 4-8, 2025). The autumn edition is under the artistic direction of “unlimited creative researcher” Amélie Pichard. Concurrently, the unmissable Paris Design Week (September 4-13) offers a rich program of events, installations, inaugurations, and meetings with designers.

In Helsinki, Habitare (45,300 visitors and over 400 exhibitors in 2024) takes place from September 10 to 14. Considered the leading event in the furniture, design, and interior sectors in the Nordic countries, this year’s theme is “Touch,” proposing a multisensory exploration of spaces, serving curiosity as part of our experience. Guests of honor are the Swedish brand Fogia and the Danish brand New Works, two furniture companies known for their experimental spirit and respect for artisanal traditions. The Habitare Materials section participated with 14 companies at Milan Design Week 2025 as part of Alcova.
London Design Festival
In London, from September 13 to 21, it’s time for the 23rd edition of the London Design Festival (graphic identity by Pentagram). Divided into eight districts, it “celebrates and promotes the city as a design capital on the global stage” and serves as a platform to tell hundreds of design stories, addressing an audience that appreciates quality and diversified offerings.
Closing out the month of European fairs is Feria Hábitat València, from September 29 to October 2. This international showcase for the Spanish habitat industry will feature furniture, lighting, decoration, upholstery, and bedding, supplemented for 2025 by Textilhogar, Contract 360, NUDE, the Young Talents Show, crafts, decoration, and interior design.

Four September Events in Italy
On September 10-11 at Fiera Milano Rho, Architect@Work offers a tailor-made meeting point for designers, focusing on selected new products by a technical committee, with over 160 exhibitors. “Two days of meetings, installations, and reflections on a new way of inhabiting the present – and the future.”
In Bologna, the 42nd Cersaie takes place from September 22 to 26: over 600 international companies will present the latest innovations in surfaces, bathroom furnishings, finishes, design, and technology. Among the unmissable events are the “Caffè della Stampa” discussions, curated by leading industry publications, which will cover architecture, design culture, and innovation; demonstrations of the latest installation techniques at “La Città della Posa”; and meetings with 6 innovative start-ups operating in the product categories of home automation, bathroom and wellness, and surface finishes and treatments.
Cersaie
Not to be missed is the Lake Como Design Festival (September 14-22), which gains recognition and relevance year after year on its journey through the city of Como and around its lake. The common thread of this new edition is “Fragments,” guiding visitors through a widespread itinerary discovering exhibitions and site-specific installations. Among the confirmations for the seventh edition, the “Contemporary Design Selection” returns, curated for the third consecutive year by Giovanna Massoni, with an open call for independent designers and design and architecture studios that will conclude on March 31, 2025.
From September 24-27, Verona hosts the 59th edition of Marmomac, an international benchmark for the entire natural stone supply chain, from raw product to the most advanced processing. The 2025 layout is inspired by Le Corbusier’s Plan Voisin (1925) and will form a “stone city.”
Trade fairs in Asia
Design Miami. In Situ Seoul, the first major international collectible design event in Seoul, is scheduled from September 2 to 14. Part of Design Miami’s new “In Situ” initiative, it is organized in conjunction with Frieze Seoul and Kiaf. The curation is entrusted to Korean design expert Hyeyoung Cho, who chose the title “Illuminated: A Spotlight on Korean Design,” inspired by the Korean word “조명 (jo-myeong),” meaning “to illuminate,” to highlight the over 170 Korean design works on display.
From September 10 to 13, Shanghai hosts Furniture China, a fundamental platform for Chinese furniture and design, promoting the Gold Idea Furniture Design Award (equivalent to the Red Dot Award in China) and the China Furniture Product Innovation Awards to support innovation.
FIND – Design Fair Asia
From September 11 to 13, it’s the turn of Find – Design Fair Asia in Singapore, one of Asia’s most influential economic and cultural centers. An acronym for Furniture, Interiors, and Design, it is organized by Fiera Milano in a joint venture with dmg Events, involving interior brands, designers, and opinion leaders with the aim of fostering exchange and inspiration between West and East.

Orgatec Workspace Saudi Arabia (September 16-18) will take place in Riyadh. This is an expansion of Orgatec, the biennial office furniture event organized by Koelnmesse in Cologne, and Dubai’s Workspace. Saudi Arabia – as stated in the rationale – is the vital nexus for the Kingdom’s diverse industrial sectors, in line with the Vision 2030 initiative aimed at diversifying the economy and reducing oil dependence.
From September 18 to 21, it’s the turn of Design Shenzhen, a flagship event in the Asian interior design landscape. The 2025 edition features three new sections: Consumer Technology, Luxury Home Design, and Commercial Design. Nearly 200 brands from over 30 countries and regions will showcase the integration of technology and design. Over 50,000 professionals are expected to attend.
