The grammar of the kitchen

The Modulnova brand has spread all over the world thanks to a new kitchen grammar, whose design focus lies in modularity and formal cleanliness

Founded by the brothers Dario, Giuseppe and Carlo Presotto, now joined by the second generation, Modulnova associates its brand with the production of kitchens with a clean, linear design based on extensive research into materials and finishes, combined with technological solutions marked by maximum flexibility.

An icon of this approach is Blade: a modular system that offers infinite possibilities for customising the project in every detail. The same DNA also applies to Modulnova’s latest arrival: the Blade Lab programme, designed by Carlo Presotto and Andrea Bassanello and presented at the last Salone del Mobile in Milan.

The central element of the system is the Blade Lab island in flamed Piasentina stone, embellished with millerighe workmanship. A series of Blade Lacquered Metal Ivory columns, high from the floor to the ceiling, integrate into the volumes of the architectural space. To the right of the island, the large wine cellar is protected by a glass wall with a hinged door. Finally, the new Solid inter-wall system with vertical slats in Grey Walnut, located behind the island and inside the cellar, provides linear solutions for the internal organisation of the rooms. The integrated LED illuminates the structure, giving it a strongly scenic character.

The same linear language and formal cleanliness are also found in the Modulnova world in the living and bathroom areas, where the accent is placed on the attention to materials and finishes. If the protagonist of the new Bath Blade programme dedicated to the bathroom area is nature, with wood used for the top, Emperador marble for the boiserie and piasentina stone for the washbasin and the large flush mirror, the Blade living area is distinguished by the use of precious oak wood, with its warm tones.

The star of the Living Blade composition is the long oak wood shelf, taken up by the leaf metal ivory boiserie, with integrated LED light. The room is completed by vertical Blade columns in dark depth satin lacquer and the Unlimited bookcase with a super matt black grey iron structure, which defines the spaces while maintaining a design continuity between living and kitchen.
