Tubes | Terre

Designed by S. Herkner, this radiator is a tribute to the earth, crafted from extruded structural terracotta to forge a natural connection between function and material
As its name suggests, the Terre electric radiator is born from the earth and pays homage to it: a clay extracted exclusively from the Impruneta quarry in Tuscany's Chianti region, which retains unique characteristics enhanced by Tubes' technical know-how. While other applications use terracotta slabs as cladding, Terre is created through an extrusion process, resulting in a fully structural element. "Terracotta is an authentic material, linked to the earth and to warmth. Using it today in a heating object creates a natural connection between function and material," says Sebastian Herkner. Terre is available in glazed finishes of Vetroso White, Corteccia Brown, Minerale Gray, and Oceano Blue, alongside a transparent glazed version.
