Rosa Rosae: the eternal form of beauty

Born from the harmony between sculpture and tableware, Rosa Rosae by Geminiano Cozzi 1765 celebrates timeless beauty through a modern lens, bringing the grace of classical ideals into today's spaces with poetic presence and material excellence

Inspired by Antonio Canova’s vision of the ideal human form and the fluid silhouettes of Venetian Baroque, Rosa Rosae creates a bridge between past and present.
Each piece is made of fine bone China porcelain, the “white gold” of Venice, chosen for its lightness, durability, and delicate luminosity. With its clean, sculptural lines, the collection of plates, bowls, and cups appears essential yet expressive. Designed to be touched, held, and experienced, it brings balance and understated refinement to the table. It is not a nostalgic beauty, but a living language – fluid, contemporary, and intimately connected to daily rituals.

The Latin title, Rosa Rosae, contains a lyrical tension: the delicacy of petals and the strength of thorns. This dual spirit is reflected in the designs, which balance refinement and resilience both in material and form. The floral motifs are not mere decorations: they are precisely sculpted, becoming an integral part of the object’s structure, capturing light with subtle movements and shadows. Modern and clean geometries soften under the silent presence of nature, giving life to pieces that are both serene and expressive, conceived not only for everyday gestures but to be cherished over time. In Rosa Rosae, resilience is not the opposite of beauty but an essential component of it. It is precisely the meeting of strength and grace that gives the collection its emotional depth and timeless charm.

The table becomes a stage where light and ephemeral butterflies rest lightly on surfaces like fleeting thoughts, silent narrators of transformation and rebirth. Their delicate presence originates from historical archival motifs preserved at the Ceramic Museum of Bassano del Grappa, now reinterpreted with sensitivity and imagination on the sensual forms of the Burano plate. This design is a contemporary reinterpretation of the eighteenth-century festoon style, translated with modern simplicity and fluidity. The result is a mise en scène where classical memory and current sensibility meet in a silent dialogue.

Rosa Rosae invites us to slow down and reconnect – with beauty, with nature, with others. Its palette of delicate whites, botanical and shimmering greens reflects natural light like a Venetian lagoon, gracefully changing according to the environment. More than 260 years after its foundation, Geminiano Cozzi 1765 continues to unite innovation and tradition, craftsmanship and vision. Rosa Rosae is not just a collection – it is a gesture of respect. A story told in porcelain. Designed to be used, remembered, and passed on.
