Galla Placidia by Gabel x Ken ScottFloral motifs, joyful and pop hues, and bold color combinations are the common thread of the Gabel x Ken Scott collection that accompanies the spring/summer season with new designs and graphics. Arcadia Japonica, Le Notre, Biot, Kiki, Portofino and Fiorini are the novel patterns that dress the bedroom in a rainbow of colors, and there is no shortage of continuations such as Saturn and Galla Placidia. Sheet sets and bedspreads are the result of refined handcrafted finishes combined with brightly colored prints. Bedding thus rediscovers a strongly aesthetic and decorative value, not only functional, playing with the natural world of flowers and leaves, but also through the abstract and geometric dimension.

Indeed, within the Gabel x Ken Scott collection, the visionary and creative universe of the American artist, as well as interior decorator, fashion designer, architect and gardener, comes alive. Ken Scott was a true all-around creative: he began as a painter and established himself in fashion in the 1960s where he was dubbed “fashion gardener,” such was his ability to translate the natural world onto fabrics, with a marked use of color.

Gabel 1957 has transformed this rich heritage into a complete home proposal that from the bedroom also extends to textile proposals for the living room, kitchen and bathroom-thanks to an agreement signed (from the end of 2022) with Mantero Seta, owner of the Ken Scott brand, of the license to produce high-end home linens and furnishing accessories. From the archives of the Ken Scott Foundation has thus been born a collection that continues to renew itself over time, ever more unpredictable and vibrant, which from the patterns to the names stays true to the artist's ideas.
