Corners of comfort

Soft and sculptural, playful or stern, seating elements offer unique moments of relaxation and socializing

Benches, chairs, stools and ottomans, designed to respond to the needs of contemporary living and new multifunctional spaces, ranging through vintage forms and innovative volumes while offering a generous selection of finishes and materials.

Bross presents the WAM collections (on cover) by Marco Zito, including lounge chairs in various configurations, benches and coffee tables that can be freely organized in space. The WAM bench comes in two sizes, with a padded seat enhanced by surface stitching, combined (optionally) with a fixed top in Fenix.

Vintage Chair by Draga&Aurel, Design Umberto Mascagni

Vintage Chair by Draga&Aurel, Design Umberto Mascagni

In the Fleuron chair by Constance Guisset for Billiani the rationality of the design, based on the idea of a buttress, meets the softness of curved lines. The chair stands out for the workmanship on the back, where the graft between the structure and the back is enhanced by the contrast of colors and finishes. The chair is also available in an all wood version, and in the comfortable padded variation.

Vintage Chair in wood, designed by Umberto Mascagni for Draga & Aurel, is an original piece of the Italian Fifties. The support structure has four legs in cast bronze, while the seat is completely covered in second-hand brown fur. Part of the Transparency Matters collection.

Capable of conveying a sense of solidity and comfort, the 1355_Timeless chair by Vibieffe is a project by Gianluigi Landoni (as well as a sofa and a bench). The powerful mocha-stained oak or canaletto walnut structure stands on four legs. The two back legs, placed side by side, help to support the comfortable semicircular back, covered in non-removable leather or fabric, like the seat.

Strong Special by Desalto, Design Eugeni Quitllet

Strong Special by Desalto, Design Eugeni Quitllet

Created for the 30th anniversary of the brand, The Principle of Lightness is a capsule collection containing four products from the history of MDF Italia in limited editions, finished in hand-polished steel or aluminium. Lofty, designed by Piergiorgio Cazzaniga in 2004, is a stainless steel seating system. A perfect combination of technology and craftsmanship. It is the result of lengthy study and shaping of steel, in an essential, sophisticated geometric approach. Lofty has been revised in the chair version, with the original steel finish.

Strong Special represents the natural continuation of Strong, designed by Eugeni Quitllet for Desalto. A combination of floating elements grants lightness to the useful parts and creates a balance between structure and comfort. The clean design relies on curved steel tubing to incorporate the seat and back, padded in polyurethane with an internal steel structure, and covered in fabric.

Loto Recycled by Mara

Loto Recycled by Mara

Mara launches its first completely eco-sustainable product. The Loto chair returns in a polypropylene version. A seat first created in wood, a pure, natural material par excellence, now expands with Loto Recycled: the new version in recyclable and recycled polypropylene. The recycled plastic, which replaces the use of virgin plastic, is the result of regenerated certified post-consumer plastics.

A bit chair, a bit stool, a bit sculpture. In beech plywood with natural finish or two color variants, AKA by Magis is a new experiment for Konstantin Grcic, a hybrid of the functioning of two seats in a rigorous geometric form.‎ AKA showcases the designer’s great woodworking expertise, with an absolute focus on sustainability.‎

The Gift stool by Fornasetti is in screen-printed wood, lacquered by hand. A surreal visual game decorates the seat, transforming the stool into a piece of exceptional character, wherever it is utilized.

Terra is the project by the artist-designer Marcantonio for Natuzzi. It is an ottoman conceived for zero impact, with rounded and soft lines that suggest the form of an olive, on the red earth of the Apulia landscape. Light straps join the extremities of the seat and back, creating a circular arrangement. The covering is available in the Water range – the sustainable fabric based on collaboration with the Dutch textile innovation studio BYBORRE – and in the new eco-fiber collection.

The Pierre family of poufs designed by Studio Contromano for Flou comes in three sizes with irregular forms. The softly padded pouf with removable covering – fabric or leather – is enhanced by visible stitching to bring out the rounded shape.

The Ciro Aplomb pouf by Simone Ciarmoli and Miguel Queda for Uno Contract is covered with a refined fabric from the Éléments Terre collection of Métaphores. The pattern of this jacquard weave features rectangular forms, arranged in such a way as to create a perfect balance. This equilibrium of geometric shapes is accentuated by the gradual, delicate shading of the colors. The fabric is soft to the touch thanks to the fine quality of the chenille. The base, on the other hand, has an elegant brushed brass finish.
