HD Expo + Conference is the biggest event in the United States on the hospitality industry, held in the spring each year in Las Vegas. From 2 to 4 May the city is transformed into the hospitality design capital, gathering the entire sector community at the Mandalay Bay Center – interior designers, architects, hoteliers, owners, operators, developers and buyers – for strategic networking initiatives, exclusive product previews, training programs and custom experiences. Many other attractions are provided alongside the contemporary production for the field of hospitality, with over 600 exhibitors.

Over a span of three days hospitality professionals have the possibility of interacting face to face, discovering the most advanced products and resources to consider for global projects, while staying in step with new trends and developments thanks to conferences conducted by over 100 visionary designers, innovators and thinkers, coordinated by the magazine Hospitality Design.

Conceived in collaboration with the International Society of Hospitality Purchasers (ISHP) as an area of growth for young designers, HD University enlivens the pre-conference day and is organized in five training modules with the participation of principal designers, brand leaders, hotel owners, producers and buyers.

For the first time at HD Expo + Conference, the Women in Design Awards Breakfast is presented by the magazine Hospitality Design in collaboration with NEWH, the international community focused on the world of hospitality, as a tribute to innovation, leadership and success in the sector. Furthermore, NEWH will assign a series of study grants and will announce the ICON of Industry award for this year.
DesignWell 2023
The appointment offers four new areas for networking, conferences and F&B, with an outstanding group of experts and innovators.
Created in collaboration with Williams-Sonoma, Inc B2B and Tarkett, HD Park is an immersive space inspired by nature that will host the sessions – with CEU accreditation – of the event, conducted by sector veterans and rising names. The importance of health and wellness in the sector will be addressed in the pavilion DesignWell.
The matching spaces have also been enhanced: HD Social Hub, created by the team of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants; the Matchmaking Lounge organized in collaboration with Encore Hospitality Carpet; and the HD Café, run by the famous chef, restauranteur and cookbook author Michael Mina, a space for relaxing and recharging, dining and finding inspiration.
