Design Fairs: NY in the spotlight

After an 18-month blackout, the spotlight returns to New York in a context of rediscovered creative ferment. The Javits Center will once again be the stage for the most important North American design platforms, welcoming a special edition in November of ICFF by Emerald XInternational Contemporary Furniture Fair – and WantedDesign Manhattan.
“Though the month of November is an unusual period of the year for both fairs, it is thrilling to finally be together again, for a firsthand experience of the products our sector has created behind the scenes over the last two years. This special edition represents the start of a celebration in the industry, which will be even bigger in May 2022,” says Phil Robinson, Show Director of ICFF.

Over 300 exhibitors, including highly acclaimed brands and emerging designers, from over 25 countries around the world, invite you to explore new products for the art of living, the contract and hospitality sectors, in a setting that unveils new trends and talents in furniture and lighting design, kitchens, bathrooms, surfaces and facings, materials and textiles. “We are truly excited to be in the same location as ICFF and to write a new chapter for WantedDesign Manhattan,” say the co-founders of WD, Odile Hainaut and Claire Pijoulat. “We continue to be committed to supporting North American high-end design studios and to be instrumental in the growth of emerging designers.”

Many innovative installations and appointments have been organized by ICFF, including the enchanting Oasis by Float Studio – sponsors Gabriel Nord America, Gestalt New York with Friends & Founders, Ornäs and Mazō, Lambert & Fils, Parla Tappeto/Ege – an intimate place in which to rediscover the bond between man and nature through a reinterpretation of natural landscapes.
ICFF Studio presents the three winners – Jose Bared, Conor Coghlan and Joel Rojas – of the competition in 2020 organized in partnership with Bernhardt Design, a collaboration that began 15 years ago with the idea of discovering future generations of designers.
