HD Expo + Conference returns to Las Vegas

A new appointment with the world of hospitality and its protagonists, in a two-day event that officially kicks off the trade fair calendar

On 24 and 25 August, the world of hospitality gathers once again in Las Vegas, the city of lights known as a hub for professionals in the hotel and entertainment industries. After last year’s cancellation, HD Expo + Conference gathers the largest network of interior designers, architects, hoteliers, managers, owners, developers for the presentation of new products, trends, talks and experiences.
An event of “education, networking and inspiration,” says Stacy Shoemaker Rauen, editor in chief of HD magazine, and senior vice president, Design Group, Emerald (the company that organizes the expo).

The show has been slightly adapted, but only in terms of size, not of quality, as explained by Kevin Gaffney, Group Show Director and Vice President of Emerald. “What won’t be different is the strength of the connections made, the innovative products discovered, or the depth of insight and experiences shared.”

This latest edition of HD Expo + Conference, its 30th, will be a launching pad for unusual initiatives, featuring new producers that will join the “veterans” of the industry, taking part in the expo arena but also in over 30 conferences in the program: at HD Park – driven by the many immersive outdoor experiences of the sector – the focus will be on new hybrid concepts, while at the DesignWell Pavilion the spotlights will be on the wellness industry, inside a space created by BHDM Design to suggest an oasis in the desert.

From 2019, the design competition “The Box” organized by Hilton and HD will unveil the winning concept of Urban Robot Associates through a virtual reality installation, awaiting complete implementation in 2022. There will also be an HD Social Hub, a place of relaxation and interaction, designed this year by the team of 21c Museum Hotels.

We’ll have to wait until 21 September for the announcement of the finalists of the annual HD Awards (over a thousand projects have been submitted, in 40 categories), now at their 17th iteration, during a ceremony held at Cipriani South Street in New York.

All the appointments and the program of talks can be seen at the website hdexpo.com. Register today using code IFDM for your free comped pass

The next HD Expo has already been scheduled, from 26 to 28 April 2022, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
