A year after the inauguration of the Bangkok Kunsthalle, Khao Yai Art announces the opening of the Khao Yai Art Forest in February 2025, a cultural destination in Thailand where contemporary art and nature exist in perfect harmony. Founded by the philanthropist and art patron Marisa Chearavanont, the Khao Yai Art Forest is a cornerstone of Khao Yai Art.

Alongside the Bangkok Kunsthalle located in heart of the capital city, this project, directed by Stefano Rabolli Pansera, is based in nature and is dedicated to showcasing cutting-edge works by living artists, with a profound emphasis on the healing power of nature. Nestled within the Khao Yai National Park, just three hours outside of Bangkok, the Khao Yai Art Forest invites visitors to immerse themselves in an environment where art and nature intertwine seamlessly, to reflect on the importance of caring for the environment as a way of nurturing themselves.

This Forest integrates contemporary art made in-situ or brought to the site and curated within the natural landscape. Along with a pavilion housing the K-BAR by Elmgreen & Dragset, a cocktail bar seating just six guests and open every second Saturday of the month from 17:00 to 23:00, visitors will experience the following works: The Fog Forest by Fujiko Nakaya, Francesco Arena’s GOD (2024), Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook’s Two Planets (2008), commissioned by Khao Yai Art Forest, Ubatsat’s Pilgrimage to Eternity (2024), Louise Bourgeois‘s Maman (1999-2002), Richard Long’s Madrid Circle (1986).
