Waterscape

The 150th anniversary of Geberit sees both the Italian division and the Swiss parent company approaching 2024 with positive indications

In response to a physiological drop in turnover, the company makes investments in organization and assets: with this philosophy, the Geberit Group overcomes a strenuous 2023 with a positive balance sheet, providing a passport to approach the current year with energy and planning. Research and development are the assets that have allowed the company to receive the imprint of a pioneer in the sector with a long supply chain, ranging from plumbing to design. Research has allowed Geberit to consolidate technological primacy: with the acquisition of Sanitec (with Pozzi-Ginori) in 2015, it expanded its portfolio of competencies, paving the way toward the world of projects seen by interior designers (as well as by engineers and installers).

Water is the primary element for Geberit, the reference point that governs every company’s reasoning, directs investments, and creates suggestions. And it is precisely a suggestion that Geberit has embraced for the installation to be presented at Fuorisalone 2024: Waterscape. Curated by NEO studio, Waterscape is a multimedia narrative that will tell the power that Geberit is able to produce in governing water and transforming it from a natural element to an instrument of well-being.

The installation consists of a promenade in the company’s history, through the insights and creations that the properties have had in 150 years of life and that have determined its growth. The products, both those with a long past and the most recent ones, will be presented alongside the company’s history. In the lively business panorama, sustainability is no longer a “necessary good (or evil)”, but rather a well-defined project. This project sees the company commit concretely, both by monitoring the supplier chain and by acting as an attentive guardian of the post-sale chain. Proof of their commitment is reflected in the prestigious Ecovadis Gold Top 5% certification that the Geberit project has achieved.
