The 2022 iteration of 3daysofdesign was announced a few weeks ago, with graphics by Luca Nichetto, giving the event an image that zooms in on this year’s theme: “Remember to Play.” Nichetto has depicted three characters, a trio to echo the three days of the initiative. Each character is a collage of Danish icons: a famous design piece, a typical dish, an architectural reference point.

Together they represent the experiences provided by the program: design presentations, cuisine by outstanding chefs, and the architectural beauty of the Danish capital. A cheerful, colorful graphic image for a design that sets out to encourage a carefree spirit.

“As a designer, play is a fundamental part of my thought process. Every time I am faced with a design dilemma, playing offers new possibilities. It ignites curiosity and adds an element of fun to my projects and my collaborations,” says Luca Nichetto, a designer based in Venice and Stockholm.
His remarks are in tune with those of Signe Byrdal Terenziani, Managing Director of 3daysofdesign: “Play is important in crucial moments, as well as creative moments. Perhaps it is more important than ever. Even in uncertain times, it can reconnect us to others and help us to rediscover the joys of everyday life.”

This positive atmosphere, full of vitality, becomes the symbol of the festival (15-17 June), with participating brands like Fritz Hansen, Louis Poulsen, &Tradition, Gubi, Astep, Bang & Olufsen (the best of Nordic design), but also international companies like Artemide and Boffi, and worldwide designers like Michael Anastassiades, GamFratesi, Stefan Nilsson with projects and installations.
