Loom, the new project by Mosaico+ designed by Marialaura Rossiello Irvine, stems from childhood memories, when on long afternoons she watched the women of her family doing embroidery. Those same patterns, enlarged or reduced in size, have been assembled and embossed on modules in full-body porcelain stoneware. Used to cover floors and walls, indoors and outdoors, the collection is composed of 14x70cm modules with a thickness of 8.5 mm, pre-etched and puttyable, for a surface marked by segments with different textures.
The result is an infinite embroidery, just like the trousseau of the designer. When the modules have been set in place and plastered, the surface is transformed into a complex combination of parts and forms of different sizes, creating a 3D effect on floors and walls. The Loom collection contains four patterns, two for the left side and two for the right side.
