At home with Versace

The Versace Home collection accentuates the harmonious balance between tradition and modernity, mythology and pop culture that sets the tone of the brand. The new furniture lines strengthen their total look approach in a jubilee of forms, colors and icons

A balanced, harmonious blend of heritage and modernity envelops the new collection of Versace Home. The brand’s irreverent, brash image shapes original décor proposals that take inspiration from the characteristic allure of fashion to then open to the contamination of a vibrant touch of luxury. The result is a lifestyle that immediately depicts an entire habitat, in which to let ourselves be swept away and fascinated by a jubilee of colors, materials and precious details. In the new 2020 collection the accent falls precisely on a total overview of every space – from the living area to the bedroom, the dining room to the office – enhanced and completed by inebriating decorative solutions that create a total look, in unison.

A direct echo of the fashion spirit behind it is the sophisticated Virtus collection, which takes its name and logo from the coveted Virtus Bag of the brand. The distinctive sign is the symbol of the baroque ‘V’ on the textures and products, enlivened by accents of acanthus leaves. A symbol that becomes a fil rouge crossing enveloping chairs in velvet finished with gilded details, elegant dining and coffee tables that play with combinations of materials and geometric lines (the depth of the tops meets the graphic impact of the bases), iridescent fabrics on seating, comfortable beds that become the unrivaled protagonists of the bedroom zone, all the way to the ironic suitcase that transforms the letter ‘V’ into an aesthetic and functional expedient.

The iconic tradition of the Versace brand gives form to the Medusa Carezza line: precisely the vivid reference to the Medusa punctuates all the offerings, defined here by curved lines underscored by touches of gilding. The seats (armchairs, smaller chairs and sofas) are light and aesthetically poised, relying on curved lines on multiple levels – from the back to the base to the seat. Perfectly crafted, the main pieces stand out for their covering in leather, velvet and patterned jacquard weave. All completed by lamps with the Medusa form.

The same stylistic imprint can be seen in the collection The Medusa, which delves even deeper into the brand’s identity, this time in office space. Made in stained ash wood, it is composed of a desk and chairs will decorative touches in leather, and the true must of the iconic gilded Medusa symbol. The collection thus becomes the emblem of a style with roots in the tradition, resurfacing with an updated contemporary character.

This clear dichotomy is the life’s blood of the brand, which is capable of walking the tightrope between fashion and design, atmosphere and product, heritage and innovation. A concept that lives on in the new collection, and has been reinterpreted by the artist Roberto Alfano, creator of a live performance (with an eye on street art and post-Impressionism), through which the brand will officially present its new décor offerings.
