The invitation is as provocative as his art. “Stay in bed” is the personal exhibition of the artist Fabrizio “Bixio” Braghieri hosted at the Natevo showroom in via De Amicis, in Milan, which opens this evening, Thursday 7 February.

The event, which once again unites the world of design and the artistic universe, is part of the palimpsest of cultural initiatives promoted by Flou-Natevo in collaboration with the Glauco Cavaciuti Art Gallery.

“Since last September, the Natevo space has been housing paintings and sculptures ‘lent’ from the Gallery and that, placed next to the products of the brand, contribute to creating particular and suggestive atmospheres, much appreciated by the customers – explains Massimiliano Messina, President of Flou – We met Bixio Braghieri for the first time thanks to Glauco Cavaciuti, owner of the gallery, and the artist, incredibly inspired by the theme of the bed, immediately imagined a performance that would mix his works to our products.”

A combination that the artist describes as follows: “A cross between the nocturnal and the diurnal, a passage in the relay race between the dreamlike spirit of the night and the productive one of the day. Cheerful allegories that combine business with pleasure, rolled out like a dream into an unmade bed…”
In fact, the theme emphasises the value of slowness: “staying in bed” is therefore an invitation to make people think, to take care of themselves, to get away from the distractions of everyday life to stop and observe with new eyes the objects that surround us.

A live performance by the artist who will animate the inaugural evening, will lead us within this world between the real and the oneiric. To enrich the settings of the exhibition space until 7 March, the irreverent works of Braghieri, including “Il Bugiardone”, Pinocchio made with the information sheets of medicines, which are called Bugiardoni in Italian; “I Cuori Fragili / The Fragile Hearts”; the “Fashion Tanks”, part of the Fashion Victims project and the “Vintage Champagne flasks” signed; up to the “Costruxion dell’Ego” made with the classic children’s building blocks.

The review of cultural events organised by Flou-Natevo will continue with a further appointment in May and later in the fall, always in the prestigious location of Via De Amicis that will be transformed during the Salone del Mobile.Milano to welcome the 2019 collection.
