Mara, Modo StarBakery

Star Bakery succeeds in giving shape and substance to both sensory and aesthetic suggestions, bringing with it, in the street that leads from the central Piazza Grande to Piazza del Municipio, an original interpretation of the bakery that combines the authentic quality of local products with a contemporary metropolitan style.

The design, created by the Livorno architectural studio MODO, has redesigned the spaces of the room, which before the intervention was just a single environment, identifying two main areas: a technical part with the kitchen and one intended for the customers.
The windows are large, animated by the synthetic graphics of pop lighting that does not however compromise the visual continuity between the inside and the outside. This connection is also supported by the choice made to restore and bring back to its antique splendour the original floor surface in Palladiana flooring that is found, identical, even under the large porticos.

Internally, the space is given a welcoming and fresh feel with the white tiles on the walls, the wooden slats used for the covering of the counter, the elegant ‘suspended’ array of lamps with a sphere diffuser, the shelves with metal pipes in industrial style and the vintage charm of the seats of the Simple collection by Mara that, made of metal and here laminated in the dark-toned version, undeniably hark back to the seventies.
