Oltre 40 paesi alla London Design Biennale

Tra le installazioni più affascinanti quelle di Italia (rappresentata dalla Triennale di Milano), Brasile, Lettonia, UK, Turchia e Colombia

From 4 to 23 September London will be invaded by the broader facets of emotionality. The theme of the London Design Biennale is in fact ” Emotional states ” on which over 40 countries will present their ideas and projects to the Somerset House. The topic is inspired by a reflection on the Gallup Global Emotions Report 2017 , a survey based on 149 thousand interviews in 142 states, which measured feelings and emotions, values ​​usually neglected by traditional economic indicators.

Among the most interesting installations are those of Italy, Brazil, Latvia, UK, Turkey and Colombia. L ‘ Italy will be represented by the project Triennale entitled The Architecture of Trees , a selection of 24 drawings based on twenty years of research of Cesare Leonardi and Franca Stagi who wants to convey the importance of human connection and the environment through the concept of ” restorative design “.

David Elia with the organic installation Desmatamento  wants to offer a taste of the breathtaking beauty of the Amazon forest. The project tackles the problem of deforestation in Brazil and describes the ecosystem using the chairs designed by the designer himself, symbolizing tree trunks found in the rainforest of Mata Atlântica.

Latvia’s participation will embrace the country’s harmony between nature and design and the development of technology in the 21st century. Matter to Matter  by Arthus Analts is a glass condensation wall that reflects the dampness of the capital of the country of Riga, will allow visitors to write messages. The wall will be combined with a Latvian bark floor and a birch bench that refers to the forestry of the country.

HousEmotion is the installation of Tabanlıoğlu Architects for Turkey . Originally created for the ‘ House In Motioninterior exhibition at this year’s Salone del Mobile, the structure was developed using white pipes that form a cubic figure with empty spaces in order to highlight that the “home” is only transitory. Inside, a comfortable environment will be created for visitors to relax, and at night, the exterior will light up to become even more fascinating.
