Binomio M&O-Cina

A settembre M&O offrirà ai suoi espositori due nuove opportunità commerciali: il salone annuncia l’avvio di partnership con JD.com e Hongkong Land

Anche Maison&Objet guarda con interesse al mercato asiatico. Con la firma di due accordi di partnership strategica il salone apre il mercato cinese alla sua community. Infatti, M&O ha annunciato l’avvio delle collaborazioni con JD.com e Hongkong Land: il primo si occupa di retail, mentre il secondo di immobili commerciali in Cina.

Philippe Brocart, Direttore Generale di M&O dichiara: “Maison&Objet da sempre si caratterizza per la capacità di supportare lo sviluppo della sua comunità professionale creando connessioni, contatti e opportunità con i principali operatori. Le partnership con JD.com e Hongkong Land riflettono due approcci complementari al mercato cinese: sono azioni che rispondono a richieste specifiche, ma possono rappresentare anche un modello per le operazioni in altri paesi”.

JD.com conta oltre 300 milioni di clienti attivi ed è il più importante negozio online in Cina. La partnership siglata con Maison&Objet mira a supportare JD.com nella selezione di marchi europei dalla spiccata personalità creativa o tecnica da commercializzare sulla piattaforma. Al sito di e-commerce sarà riservato a settembre uno spazio di 120 metri quadrati sul soppalco della Hall 6.

Hongkong Land ha da poco inaugurato il centro commerciale WF Central a Pechino invitando M&O a selezionare circa trenta marchi europei, asiatici e australiani, da presentare durante la Beijing Design week in un nuovo spazio chiamato M&O Design Pavillon. Aperto dal 16 settembre al 18 novembre, il padiglione vedrà esposti i progetti dei 5 Designer of the Year Maison&Objet: Philippe Nigro, Eugeni Quitllet, Tom Dixon, Nendo, André Fu. Con l’aiuto di questa partnership le aziende coinvolte avranno l’opportunità di misurare il potenziale delle loro collezioni sul mercato orientale.
