Moroso e Doshi Levien. Dieci anni dopo

Un incontro con il duo creativo per parlare del rapporto tra designer e azienda. 10 Years After è stato ospitato nello showroom Moroso a Milano, nel circuito di eventi offerto dai Brera Design Days

Era il 2007. Il lancio di Charpoy segnò l’ingresso ufficiale del duo Doshi Levien nella grande produzione industriale italiana; per Moroso corrispose invece all’apertura del suo parterre creativo a una nuova firma, destinata ad apportare un contributo unico e innovativo nel catalogo del brand. Emblematico della relazione che andava a suggellare, Charpoy – un bench indiano moderno – porta con sé tutto il valore e la carica emozionale di quella fusione culturale che contraddistingue il duo artistico – sintesi di tecnologia, narrazione e artigianato di alta gamma – perfettamente sposata da Moroso, da sempre votata a un abitare contemporaneo che coniuga bellezza ed emozione, design e arte.

Oggi, dieci anni dopo, i valori che uniscono questi attori del design contemporaneo non sono mutati. A questo anniversario è stato dedicato l’evento “10 Years After”, conviviale incontro ospitato presso lo showroom di Milano, in via Pontaccio, in occasione dei Brera Design Days  che hanno animato la città la scorsa settimana.

Centrale nel talk, moderato dallo scrittore e saggista Gianluigi Ricuperati, il rapporto tra i designer e l’azienda, tra sperimentazioni, visioni comuni, crescita parallela nel settore.

Dal 2007 infatti, il loro percorso è stato definito da ulteriori tappe produttive: My beautiful Backside, Paper Planes, Impossible wood, Chandigarh, Armada e Modernista. Un percorso teso a nuovi circuiti creativi virtuosi, rappresentati fisicamente nello spazio espositivo attraverso un allestimento “in movimento”: gli spazi ed i volumi dello showroom si trasformano grazie all’utilizzo di un sistema di tende a trazione realizzate da Silent Gliss per la parte tecnica e Kvadrat per quella tessile.
