Metrica trionfa a Chicago

Il prodotto Boccaporto, disegnato per l’azienda Koleksiyon dallo studio di design Metrica, conquista la piazza di NeoCon, ricevendo due premi per il design innovativo

Un successo. La presentazione al pubblico americano del prodotto Boccaporto ha riscosso consensi plurimi, conquistando anche giurie e stampa d’Oltreoceano in occasione di NeoCon Chicago.
Disegnato per l’azienda turca Koleksiyon, Boccaporto è una seduta freestanding progettata per il mercato contract nata dalla ricerca progettuale di Metrica, lo studio di design italiano con base a Milano guidato da Lucio Quinzio Leonelli e Robin Rizzini.

Alla fiera per eccellenza dedicata al workplace e alla progettualità, il prodotto ha ricevuto il primo premio dell’Interior Design’s Annual HiP Awards nella categoria “Workplace/Hub”, conferimento destinato ad aziende e progettisti che si sono contraddistinti per l’approccio innovativo dei prodotti presentati. Non meno importante, il premio “Grand Award” assegnato a Boccaporto dal Product Innovation Award, concorso della rivista Buildings che ogni anno seleziona i prodotti più innovativi ed efficaci esposti a NeoCon.

Luogo intimo temporaneo collocabile all’interno di spazi aperti e pubblici come le lounge degli aeroporti e le grandi biblioteche, Boccaporto è formato da una sorta di guscio che interagisce con lo spazio circostante e che al tempo stesso garantisce la privacy di chi è seduto. La scocca è imbottita, insonorizzata, illuminata e attrezzata per collegare i vari device.

La creazione di Metrica aveva già dato segno della sua originalità a Orgatec, dove fece il suo esordio lo scorso anno, ricevendo  una menzione speciale dall’Innovation Award Architecture+Office, premio delle riviste tedesche AIT e Xia Intelligente Architektur.
