Il bianco design di Oikos

White in the city è il nome del percorso di installazioni che Oikos propone per la prossima design week milanese

“Il bianco è un mondo così alto rispetto a noi che quasi non ne avvertiamo il suono, è un nulla prima dell’origine”, così Kandinsky definiva il colore bianco, declinando con poche parole il timore reverenziale nel trattare quello che molti definiscono un colore-non-colore.

Oikos, con White in the city, darà al bianco un nuovo ruolo: da simbolo di benessere e stabilità a punto di riferimento forte e attrattivo per un coraggioso progetto di architetture temporanee, un fil blanc che creerà un percorso tematico in una Brera che negli ultimi anni ha offerto il programma fuorisalone più ricco e movimentato.

White in the city, nella settimana del design, colonizzerà lo storico quartiere milanese con una serie di installazioni nei suoi luoghi più celebri e culturali: dalla Pinacoteca a Palazzo Cusani, dall’Accademia delle Belle Arti all’ex chiesa di S. Carpoforo e l’Istituto Marangoni. Unica sede “straniera” sarà il Class editori Loft di Corso Italia.

Oikos, per questo progetto, ha scelto firme di primissimo livello: Giulio Cappellini sarà l’Art Director che coordinerà i lavori di top player mondiali dell’architettura e dell’interior come Stefano Boeri, Daniel Libeskind, David Chipperfield, Zaha Hadid Architects, Aires Mateus, Patricia Urquiola, Jasper Morrison, gli italiani Marco Piva, CaberlonCaroppi, Fabio Rotella, Alberto Apostoli e molti altri.

Con White in the city (#witc, l’ashtag che da oggi sarà un campo obbligatorio di ogni post sul tema Salone del Mobile e dintorni) Oikos sfida le intemperie di un mercato, quello delle finiture, sempre non facile e lo fa con un tema coraggioso e una risolutezza di intenti che fanno intravvedere un imminente futuro rosa, anzi Rose Quartz.
