Beazley Designs of the Year: il top del progetto in mostra al nuovo London Design Museum

Il London Design Museum stila la tradizionale classifica annuale con i migliori designer e opere al mondo. Sei le categorie in mostra dal 24 Novembre, giorno inaugurale anche della nuova sede del Museo londinese. Per conoscere il vincitore bisognerà aspettare Gennaio 2017

Il fine anno è sempre tempo di bilanci e di classifiche. A decretare il Best of della progettualità internazionale ci pensa il Design Museum di Londra. L’appuntamento è il Beazley Designs of the Year, la selezione dei migliori designer e dei loro lavori.
Le opere selezionate saranno in mostra dal 24 novembre 2016 al 19 febbraio 2017, nella nuova sede del museo che viene inaugurata proprio oggi, giovedì 24 novembre nella prestigiosa zona di High Street Kensington, in un edificio ristrutturata dall’architetto britannico John Pawson. Bisognerà però aspettare gennaio per scoprire i vincitori assoluti, scelti tra questa rosa eccellente di idee. Oltre 70 nomination per le seguenti sei categorie: architettura, digitale, fashion, grafica, prodotto e trasporti.

Tra i progetti selezionati, l’ampliamento della Tate Modern di Londra realizzata dal celebre studio di architetti Herzog & de Meuron. Ma anche il pluriacclamato polo della Fondazione Prada a Milano, progettato dallo studio di architettura Oma, fondato da Rem Koolhaas. Fino a una divertente famiglia di mobili, la Tokyo Tribal, ideata dal brillante studio giapponee Nendo, capitanato dal nippo-canadese Oki Sato: 25 pezzi che formano una famiglia, appunto una tribù, articolata in sgabelli, sedie, tavoli e contenitori. Una collezione per disegnare un nuovo panorama domestico.
E ancora, tra i tantissimi prodotti scelti dal London Design Museum, e in mostra da fine novembre, spicca la nuova divertente collezione per bimbi, e perché no anche adulti con cuore da bambino, di Lego, la City Fun in the park: una città che dipinge la realtà, popolata da coppie con figli ma anche anziani e disabili sulla sedia a rotelle, che giocano nei parchi privi di barriere architettoniche. Un gioco che educa e rappresenta ai piccoli la diversità come ricchezza e non come voce discordante dallo stereotipo
