The art of Venini shines in Portofino
In the vibrant heart of Portofino, nestled among exclusive boutiques and the azure waters of the Ligurian Sea, a new beacon of light and color has arrived. VENINI, the undisputed symbol of Murano glass artistry, has unveiled its new boutique at Via Roma 3, choosing one of the world's most iconic luxury destinations to continue its path of growth

The boutique’s design echoes the retail concept first introduced at the Milan flagship, creating an atmosphere that is both contemporary and deeply rooted in tradition. An elegant Venetian terrazzo floor establishes a textural dialogue with the satin brass and bronze accents of the display structures. The eye is immediately drawn to the back wall, immersed in the brand’s iconic “Venice Red,” which creates a theatrical backdrop and serves as a dramatic stage for the precious creations on display.

Visitors are welcomed by two spectacular Triedri chandeliers, flanked by the celebrated Poliedri wall sconces by Carlo Scarpa – a testament to the genius of the great masters who have collaborated with the Fornace. The space is a tribute to the unbreakable bond between VENINI and international design, featuring works by Ettore Sottsass, Gae Aulenti, and Peter Marino. Timeless icons that have written the brand’s history are also present, including the Fazzoletto, Balloton, and Opalino vases – masterpieces that showcase the unique ability to transform glass into pure artistic expression.

The Portofino opening is not an isolated event but a strategic step in the expansion plan led by the Damiani Group. This new Italian chapter was recently heralded by the opening of the brand’s first flagship in Rome, at Via dei Due Macelli. The Rome location was a key move, designed to act as a cultural bridge between the Fornace’s historic heritage and its future vision, strengthening its bond with both the Italian public and the international design community.

Following recent openings in global hubs like Dubai and Hong Kong, the arrival in Portofino – the brand’s seventh mono-brand store and second opening of the year – confirms the dynamism of a brand that continues to carry its light into the world. With this boutique, VENINI is not merely opening a store; it is bringing a piece of its artistic soul to one of the world’s most prestigious stages, where the excellence of Murano glass meets the legend of La Dolce Vita.
