Geminiano Cozzi 1765 collection X Splendido Mare HotelThe art of porcelain becomes a powerful and profound storytelling tool, a blank canvas through which to narrate a refined and timeless creativity. The Geminiano Cozzi 1765 manufactory has made this approach a true specialization, with which it creates works for the art de la table of extreme refinement and at the same time rich in deep narrative and visual content. Each collection becomes a story in itself interpreted by decorations and colors that are each time unique as they are finely handcrafted. This expertise, which has always accompanied the Maison and shaped its historical identity, finds complete fulfillment in the prestigious collaborations with major international hotel chains: the porcelains are customized to become part of a 360-degree luxury hospitality experience.
Among the most representative collaborations is the one with Belmond, the iconic luxury hospitality brand of the LVMH group, which chose Geminiano Cozzi 1765 as its creative partner to give character to its locations. The synergy between the two brands was perfectly realized in Portofino, in the refined setting of the Splendido Mare a Belmond Hotel, where an exclusive bone porcelain collection was created for the Pool&Grill Restaurant.

Geminiano Cozzi 1765 was inspired by the authentic spirit of Liguria that pervades the hotel, set in Portofino’s iconic Piazzetta. The resulting collection features décor that harks back to the famous Ligurian ceramics of Albisola, and plays with elegant shades of green that evoke Mediterranean vegetation, enriched this year by a new variant in red, intended for room service. It breathes “la dolce vita,” the beauty of simplicity. This initiative under the banner of the most refined exclusivity has opened the door to a new project that sees the two maisons working side by side for Villa Beatrice, a charming residence surrounded by greenery, part of the Splendido Mare hotel experience. Formerly the scene of lavish parties, today the residence brings back the quintessential Italian summer charm, surrounded by a six-thousand-square-meter private park. Not to be outdone are the included services, such as butler and private chef in the villa, available 24 hours a day.

The intimacy and sumptuousness of the place guided Geminiano Cozzi’s manufacture to create two unique decorations, designed specifically to reflect its identity. The first, modeled on the Burano form, is embellished with a delicate blue fillet that ends with the monogram “VB,” a symbol of discreet elegance.
The second reinterprets one of the manufacture’s finest historical motifs, “A Striche e Oro,” reinterpreted for Belmond while retaining the original eighteenth-century colors: a tribute to tradition with a contemporary look.
Geminiano Cozzi 1765 thus continues to stand out for its ability to read the soul of unique places and translate it into porcelain that tells stories, emotions and a timeless sense of beauty.
