Bolstered by this identity, Nemea celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. Conceived by Cazzaniga Mandelli Pagliarulo, the collection debuted at Salone del Mobile.Milano in 2015 and has since continuously furnished homes, offices, hotels, and meeting spaces with its distinctive style. Crafted from FSC® C114358 certified wood and finished with water-based coatings, the chair appears poised in an athletic stance, with its sinuous solid ash legs grafted onto the bare die-cast aluminum frame positioned beneath the plywood seat, allowing the chair to be both strong and lightweight.

The wraparound backrest completes the seating, distinguishing the chair version from the armrest version, which can be hooked onto a tabletop, lifting it off the floor. “The components of Nemea, despite being clearly distinguishable and crafted from different materials, fluidly harmonize with each other, like the parts of a natural organism,” state the designers. Combining practicality with aesthetics, versatility with refined minimalism, the collection has been selected over time for numerous hospitality projects, from hotels to Michelin-starred restaurants, as well as operational workspaces and private residences.

From the Innocenti Evasioni/Terrazza Triennale restaurant, on the top floor of the Palazzo dell’Arte and home to Triennale Milano, to Caffè Fernanda at the Pinacoteca di Brera, from the Michelin-starred restaurant Nublo in Spain, to the scenic Khufu’s overlooking the Giza Pyramids: the Nemea collection enhances moments of refined conviviality as much as welcoming and relaxing encounters, such as in the countless Eataly locations worldwide.

No less, its versatility lends itself to furnishing hospitality environments: examples include the restaurant area of the boutique hotel Gatzara Suites in Santa Gertrudis, in the heart of Ibiza, or the prestigious five-star G Einbay hotel in Egypt. In professional settings, Nemea chairs naturally integrate due to their balance of ergonomics and style. They have been chosen to furnish Scalapay‘s Milanese headquarters, Sky Italia‘s company canteen, PayPal‘s Mexico City office, as well as the Porsche Experience Center in Franciacorta, and Google‘s offices in Athens.

Ten years after its debut and following a decade of constant success, the Nemea collection expands with three new proposals: a model in American walnut, characterized by soft grains that lend a touch of warmth and elegance to the line. A second interpretation introduces the new hand-woven cellulose cord seat: the artisanal weaving process adds unprecedented tactility and an even more material and sophisticated character. And finally, Nemea Soft, defined by its upholstered seat and backrest, even more aligned with the demands of the hospitality world where comfort and aesthetic refinement are paramount.
