HMA Living: home as art

HMA Living by Al Shamsi redefines luxury in the Middle East. Led by Maryam Raeisi, it evolves from contractor to curator of Italian design, turning homes into art. Two new Dubai showrooms are set to open, showcasing its complete vision

In a region where homes are increasingly conceived as personal statements, HMA Living by Al Shamsi is shaping a new way of thinking about interior design. What began as a kitchen and wardrobe contractor has evolved into a complete living platform, offering a carefully curated selection of Italian brands across furniture, lighting, outdoor, accessories, art and architectural elements. This transformation reflects the vision of Maryam Raeisi, Managing Director of the group, who has led the company beyond its traditional boundaries to embrace a broader and more ambitious role in the market. Under her direction, HMA Living has adopted a philosophy that captures its essence: When Home Becomes Art.

Helping translate this vision into reality are two Italian professionals, Dr. Luca Mazza – Design Director – and Erika Martino – Commercial Director –, who bring to Dubai a combination of creative sensibility and commercial strategy rooted in the world of Italian design. Their work is focused on building a bridge between the excellence of Italian manufacturing and the evolving lifestyle aspirations of the Middle East, including the launch of a dedicated professional lighting division.

In fall 2026, this journey will take tangible form with the opening of two new showrooms on Jumeirah Beach Road, conceived not simply as retail spaces, but as immersive environments where architecture, furnishings, lighting and art come together in a coherent narrative. Recent collaborations underline the cultural dimension of this evolution. At Milan Design Week, HMA Living presented LŪNA, a collection developed with architect Shaun Killa.

Partnerships with DIFC Sculpture Park and Art Dubai further reinforce HMA Living’s belief that design is most powerful when it engages with culture. More than a distributor, HMA Living by Al Shamsi is emerging as a curator of refined lifestyles, where Italian craftsmanship, artistic dialogue and regional insight converge to create spaces of enduring value.
